Stuart Powell

Stuart is the founder and Managing Director of SP Training Solutions Ltd.

He  is a former police officer with West Yorkshire Police and has occupied various roles, including traffic officer, patrol officer and served in various squads. Whilst still a serving officer, Stuart joined National Police Training (later Centrex) as a Law Trainer, gaining various training qualifications enroute. 

He gained several years experience of training police officers and worked at a variety of police training centres before creating a business that later developed into SP Training Solutions Ltd.

Stuart has taken part in numerous physical challenges and fitness still plays a big part in his life. He has completed marathons, triathlons and is a keen cyclist. He has also completed two long distance cycle events with his colleague Dave Algeo. The first cycling Lands End to John O'Groats in 2010 and in 2012 cycled from the London Olympic Stadium to its counterpart in Barcelona to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Action. He also enjoys landscape photography, which often goes hand in hand with his passion for travel. 

He has gained a pilots licence to fly microlights, even though he has a huge fear of heights.
